Deviation Actions
I finally finished updating the tags and titles on all my deviations and organizing everything (I even deleted a few things), and I uploaded my backlog of icons that were sitting in Sta.sh. It's after 3 AM and I'm getting tired, but I wanted to hammer out this journal entry to let you guys know where I am on stuff.
I'm in charge of planning my Pokemon club's Halloween party, which of course is in a week and a half, and I still have more prep to finish for that (mostly finishing making decorations). This November, I'm planning to enter NaNoWriMo, which will take up a LOT of my time.
Once I have more free time, I plan to make another large change to my gallery: I want to remake most of my old icons into my new format. I have literally hundreds of icons under my belt, so this will take a very long time, and will be an ongoing project. The new devs for the icon resubmits will offer a zip download of three files: the old version of the icon (50x50) and the redone versions (64x64 and 128x128). This way, I can clean up old submissions, get more pageviews because of frequent new uploads, and make multiple versions of an icon available in one place. I will NOT be redoing non-Pokewalker icons, and I will NOT be redoing icons in custom Ball bases (unless those bases themselves get remade).
In the meantime, I will keep uploading any new icon requests I get (after I put them on Tumblr, of course) so my gallery stays current. If there are any icons you want me to make, especially old icons you want me to redo for the new format, please drop me a comment or a note!

Stupid coronavirus :T
No, I don't have it :phew: Hardly anyone in my state does, in fact. But I feel like the whole place is on lockdown. My town just declared a state of emergency, and tons of people in town are alternately self-quarantining and hoarding toilet paper and hand sanitizer. All the public schools in my state are closed for the next three weeks. All concerts and other events in my town from now until June are cancelled, which means no more winter art market, no spring art festival, and no lilac festival :crying: I also cancelled my Pokemon club until May 1 since I figured none of the kids would be able to show up for a while.

So, about my Pokemon icons...
Oh, don't worry, I'm not gonna stop making them! ^^; I'm just trying to think of how to proceed with icons for gen 8 Pokemon. You see, a lot of the sprites are bigger than gen 7 sprites, and my current formats would cut off part of the sprite. In order to have the sprites not be cropped, the icons would have to go up to 128x128 (or possibly 100x100) instead of 64x64. These concerns are especially true of the Pokewalker icon format in particular.
So here's what I'm thinking:
Option A: make new icon formats for use with gen 8 sprites, including a new Pokewalker base
Option B: make new icon formats for use with gen 8 sprites, but don't do gen

First off, Mom's fine. Mostly. She beat the infection (twice), and is currently doing physical therapy to recover some range of motion in her shoulder. She's having some self-confidence issues because of the loss in strength and the fact that her scar makes it look like she got jabbed with a running chainsaw, but she's recovering well! She even just got a job at Dollar Tree! :D

A couple weeks ago, Mom hurt herself REALLY BAD at work. She was lifting a huge container of vegetable oil (she works at a fancy restaurant in town), and detached the cartilage on the right side of her collarbone. When the cartilage tore away, some muscle tore with it, which caused a bleed. The bleed wasn't caught for a few days, and she got an infection. She was taken to the hospital in the big city a couple hours away from town over a week ago, and she's been there ever since. She had to have surgery the day she got there to remove some necrotic muscle tissue and fix the bleed. She is recovering, which is an immense relief considering she w

Damn, if I had known I'd have to resubmit everything, I wouldn't have bothered staying up until 3 in the morning submitting stuff. Especially since it got super cold last night and we have no heat.
